Located at the "head" of Barnegat Bay is the charming seaside town of Bay Head, New Jersey. Along with Mantoloking, Bay Head is considered to be a part of the Jersey Shore's "Gold Coast", the northern half of the shore. Some surrounding beach towns include Point Pleasant, Manasquan, Brick, Mantoloking, and Sea Girt.
Bay Head is in close proximity to the Garden State Parkway and Route 35, the state highway running primarily through Ocean and Monmouth counties, and parallel to the ocean through the shore towns.
